About Amelia Nite

I have been writing since I was a little kid, but only in high school did I realize writing was my passion. I've spent all my time writing (and sometimes sketching designs for my characters) while researching has come as a close second.

Out of all the works I'm currently writing, I have two series I'm excited to work on the most - The Bound Series and The Shadow Series. Both works are werewolf/vampire stories that are centered around other paranormal creatures. While both these works are fanfictions, I do plan on re-writing them as real series' of their own with my own original characters.

My favorite books to read include The Percy Jackson and the Olympians by Rick Riordan (pretty much anything by him), Fairy Tail by Hiro Mashima, The Summoner Trilogy by Taran Matharu (and the first book of his new trilogy, The Contender Trilogy), and The Mortal Instruments by Cassandra Clare.

The main genre I write in is dark paranormal. While I try to write my books at a PG-16 level, I just can't get myself to that mark. All my stories end up becoming PG-18 and older because of the topics I have in them and how I tend to be a little dark, a little complicated, and highly detailed. I think I would bore teenagers if I tried for anything else.

I have a lot of experience and knowledge concerning the details and workings of storytelling and creative writing. Dialogue comes naturally to me, and I am pretty good with interesting characters. However, character consistency and development always worry me (I'm not sure if it's something I should be worried over, but regardless, I do). My biggest worry is having good characters, interesting settings, an enjoyable plot, and telling a story that is not preachy but still teaches.

If you wish to read my works, you can find my writings on Wattpad under my name: Amelia Nite. My educational background in creative writing has given me a broad base from which to approach many topics. I especially enjoy researching topics about mythical creatures and creating new languages. I usually write at two AM, am a neurotic writer, and fully aware I am a train wreck. You may learn more about my work on Twitter and you can follow my writer's blog at The Nite Blog.

That's all for now, thanks for reading!
